What is the MTCP Scholarship?
The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded award sponsored by the Malaysian Government, dedicated to supporting international students from developing countries in pursuing postgraduate studies in Malaysia.
Beyond academic achievement, the programme is designed to equip scholars with the knowledge and practical skills needed to drive meaningful development in their home countries — strengthening ties between Malaysia and the global community.
The scholarship covers a period of 24 to 36 months for a Master’s Degree Programme, accommodating all modes of study: Coursework, Mixed Mode, and Research.
Scholarship Benefits
Full Tuition Fees
All university tuition and related academic fees are fully covered for the duration of your study.
Monthly Allowances
Living, accommodation, and other personal allowances are provided throughout the award period.
Return Airfare
A return economy-class airline ticket from your home country to Malaysia and back is included.
Eligibility Criteria
- ✓ IELTS overall score of 6.0 and above
- ✓ TOEFL iBT total score of 60 and above
- ✓ Previous degree(s) completed with English as the medium of instruction
